Have you got a dog that you would like to become a well mannered companion, that is calm in the house, walks comfortably on the lead, comes back when you call it and plays nicely with other dogs? We can help you to achieve these goals with your dog in a controlled environment. We take a maximum of six dogs in each class to ensure that we can give each team individual attention as well as making sure that the play is supervised to prevent any bullying or aggression. Please note: These classes are not designed to deal with major behaviour problems such as aggression, guarding, etc. These problems will have to be addressed in an individual or behaviour session first. This is to gain some control over the dog before exposing him or her to the full distractions of a class session.

Each lesson last an hour. The fee is from just £65 for a 6 week course.

Course Content:

In these sessions we will show and explain you how to teach your dog to become the perfect companion. We will teach you to read and understand your dog's body language and how to build an excellent rapport with your dog.

With our small class sizes there is enough time to discuss individual problems and we will give you advice on how to deal with the dog's (mis-) behaviours if there are any.

Exercises:

In the six-week course we will explain and guide you and your dog through the basic exercises:

-   Walking on loose lead

-   Greeting people without jumping

- Come away from other dogs

- Come out of play

- Go on bed

- Down

- Stay

- Leaving food

- Getting used to handling, grooming and Vet treatments

- To get on well with people and dogs

- To be confidant and reliable companion

Methods:

The approach we promote is motivating the dog and building an affectionate relationship between the dog and its owner. We use the most advanced, scientifically proven, kind and effective, training, handling, communication techniques such as Bridge-Target-Barrier Training and Clicker Training.

Suitable for:

These classes are suitable for dogs from 5 months old onwards and all their owners.

Children are most welcome to accompany their parents.

There will be a maximum of 6 dogs in each class to ensure quality of training and socialisation.

What to bring:

Your dog should wear preferably a plain collar or a harness, please no choke collars!

Please bring some of the dog’s normal food as well as some tasty treats with you.

Also bring the dog’s bed or a blanket with you to help your dog relax and settle in the class.
