Directions to Abbotts Wood, Intwood Road, Cringleford; GPS coordinates 52°35'42.6"N 1°14'45.1"E. (does not have a post code, the nearest postcode is NR4 6TG). 

FROM NORWICH
Coming from Norwich take the Newmarket Road towards A11. Turn off Newmarket Road onto Eaton Street in Eaton / Cringleford as the Newmarket road separates in Y shape. Do not go onto A11.
Continue straight at traffic lights, drive past Waitrose on your left and go over the bridge to take Intwood Road which is the first road on the left. Keep to the right as the road bends. Then at junction go straight across Keswick Road to stay on Intwood Road. Pass Brettingham Avenue, then Hill Farm Drive on your right hand side. Go over the railway crossing and uphill for about 50 yards. 
Both on the right and left there are farm gates and horses on the fields. On the left side of the left hand-side gate there is a sign "The Hollies" and right side above the hedge "Woodlands for Sale". Drive through the gate, then the next gate in front and take the dirt track on the right hand side between the wire barrier and the grass field/yellow container. Follow the track to the forest and turn right a drive alongside the forest until you reach the end of the track; (please refer to the maps).

FROM A11 (not depicted on the map)
After the roundabouts, stay on Newmarket Road but take the Cringleford exit before Norwich (which in on the left). At the top of the road turn right to go over the bridge that takes you over the A11. Immediately after, turn left to go on Newmarket Road and then right onto Intwood Road (before bridge). Keep to the right as the road bends. Then at junction go straight across Keswick Road to stay on Intwood Road. Pass Brettingham Avenue, then Hill Farm Drive on your right hand side. Go over the railway crossing and uphill for about 50 yards.

FROM A47, B1113, Ipswich Road (not depicted on the map)
Drive to Swardeston on the B1113, past the Lakenham Hewett sports ground on your right if you are coming from Norwich. As you arrive at Swardeston take the first turn right (Short Lane) then the first turn on your right again (Intwood Lane). Follow Intwood Lane until you arrive at a Y junction. Take to the right.  Drive over the flyover (over the bypass). As you start descending of the flyover, there will be a farm gates on your left and right and a big sign “Woodlands for sale” and a post box “The Hollies” on your right. Drive through the right-hand side farm gate. Then drive straight through another farm gate in front of you and then on the right-hand side track to the forest. Follow that track alongside the forest to the end. Turn left on the path into the woods and then right into the car park. Then take your dog and walk across the forest track to the grassland area.

Park your car in the Abbotts Woods parking area and walk on the forest path towards our open grassland training area behind the forest.

If you arrive late (the class has already started) and the gate is closed, please park outside by the gate and walk down to Abbotts Wood.

Please read our notice about noise management and how to proceed from the parking area to the training area! Again, please be aware this is an outdoor training area, so be sure to be wearing appropriate footwear clothes such as a coat or a jacket, and hat, sunscreen etc., if it is sunny!
